FIFA WORLD CUP ENGLAND TEAM

England will play Iran in the opening match of Group B at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. At 6:45 PM Nepali time, the game will take place at Khalifa International Stadium.

In their 69 World Cup matches to far, England has only once faced an Asian opponent. Since beating Kuwait 1-0 in the 1982 group stage, the squad has not faced an Asian country. This is the first official match between Iran and England.

In their last seven starting performances, England has only lost once. Aside from that, 3 games were won and 3 games ended in draws. Iran, though, hasn’t given up a goal in the first match of the previous two World Cups.
For the fourth World Cup, Carlos Queiroz is the Iran team’s head coach. He has been with Iran for the previous three tournaments and witnessed the Portugal squad in 2010. Iran has played 15 games in the World Cup thus far, winning 2, drawing 4, and losing 9. Iran has never had a World Cup game with more than two goals scored.
On the other side, England captain Harry Kane is just two goals from being the nation’s all-time leading scorer in international soccer. He has so far scored 51 goals. In the previous competition’s group stage, Kane took home the Golden Boot. He desires to keep it that way.
