NEPAL VS HOBART HURRICANES T2O PRACTICE MATCH | WORLD CUP 2024

Nepal faced the Windward Volcanoes in their second T20 match on May 16, 2024, at 8:15 PM Nepali time. This match marked the second encounter between the two teams in the series, following Nepal’s triumph in the first match where they secured victory by four wickets.

The game took place at the Park Hill Cricket Ground as part of Nepal’s preparations for the World Cup 2024. In the first match, Dipendra Singh Airee’s explosive batting performance was instrumental in Nepal’s win, where they defeated the Windward Volcanoes with six wickets to spare.

During the first match, the Windward Volcanoes batted first, posting a total of 196/8 in 20.0 overs. In response, Nepal successfully chased down the target, reaching 197/6 in 19.3 overs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel led the charge with 70 runs, supported by Airee’s unbeaten 52 runs, and Sompal Kami’s 32 runs

Airee’s remarkable performance in the last two overs, where he hit four sixes and contributed significantly, led Nepal to victory. Additionally, Sompal Kami’s six in the final over sealed the win for Nepal.

Looking ahead, Nepal will play two more practice matches on May 16 and May 18 before departing for Houston on May 19.
